Golden Note Entertainment had the privilege of participating in an amazing event for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, their 18th Annual Blue Jean Ball, created to raise funds for the remarkable programs that the food bank runs.
Just to put things in perspective, The Community FoodBank of New Jersey distributed a record 40 million pounds of food in 2013 and is on track to distribute the same in 2014. While planning the event, GNE learned that it started 40 years ago with Kathleen DiChaira, who had only a vision and a station wagon. Although the production of the event was intense, we never lost sight of why we were all there: the foodbank needed to generate money to provide food, help and hope for 1.2 million people facing hunger in New Jersey.
Golden Note Entertainment, an “in kind” sponsor for the event provided Emcee Gerry Siracusa, DJ Bill Delaney, and a few extra dancers to bring some energy to the enormous dancefloor. GNE also brought LED uplighting to flood the foodbank’s warehouse with color. The whole night was Woodstock themed and our client’s goals were simple: keep it fun, keep people dancing, and keep the music before 1970! Bill and Gerry took on the challenge, and had the dance floor going all night. GNE also worked with many great supporting vendors. Gerry would personally like to thank David from Still Life Design for an amazing job. Converting a warehouse into Woodstock-themed super venue is no easy task, and he crushed it! And a special thanks, also, to all the amazing chefs, restaurants, stores and/or culinary experts to provided such and amazing spread of food that you could never find anywhere else:
